On Thresholds

New York, June 2025. Shoham at a monumental doorway. Carved dark-bronze doors stand wide open; behind them, warm wood and glass crossed by a fine band of ornamented brass. All around, white marble with gray veins, and stone underfoot.

Most people walk through a doorway like this without stopping. We stop. Because this is the moment we most love to design: the moment just before you step inside. Before you see a room, you already feel it — in the weight of a door, the touch of a material, the light waiting within.

And at home: a view through the door into a bath we designed. Render.

Look again and you’ll recognize our palette: veined stone, warm wood and dark metal. The same materials return in the kitchens, bathrooms and living rooms we design, because we believe a good home begins at its threshold.

When you come to us, that is exactly where we’ll start: how do you want to feel when you open your door?

What guides us

  • Clean

What doesn’t need to be there, isn’t. Continuous lines, fewer joints, more quiet.

  • Precise

Proportion, measure and detail, down to the millimeter. Precision is what turns a quiet house into a good one to live in.

  • Right

Right for you, for the light of the house and for the way you live. Not a trend — a fit.

The signature

The letter S within an oval frame is the studio’s signature: elegance, precision, continuity. It moves between full, short and minimal versions without losing its presence, as a good design language should.

Your home begins at the threshold.
